“To stop climate change ,students aim at college portfolios”

The students see it as a tactic that could force climate change, barely discussed in the presidential campaign, back onto the national political agenda.

Imagining was necessary & possible.

-Bill McKibben, a writer turned advocate for carbon reduction, is on a national tour to build support for the divestment campaign.

1. Burke : basically coined “4th estate” & when you try to do something it will have unattended consequences. Society would now be unruly.

2.James C. Scott : Professor Who Learns From Peasants

“It’s good to have something that requires your body and leaves your mind alone.”

***Comparing Burke to Scott’s idea, what we can take away from both is that we have reached a point where we have gotten out of balance withing mind, body and soul. The spirital ideas vs. the ideas of the world. Communication is an important first step and the second is the physical, to take action.

-The manual is like a spaceship
